Long Ride Home is a prequel novella (0.5) and Five Mornings (1.5) gives background on book two's protagonists. Well worth reading if they're there or you can find them.

The first two books and a prequel novella in Jeffe Kennedy's Heirs of Magic series are on sale right now at Kindle US and UK, and at Kobo US too, where they are discountable. The books are $1.99/£1.45 each and the novella is $0.99/£0.77. This is probably in honor of the third book in the series, which is coming out in a few days.

I ended up binge reading Lazy Girl's Guide to Magic based on @worktolive's recommendation , and then the Firebrand ones (love KU), and liked both series a lot. I think I liked Lazy Girl a tad more - the "lazy" thing is just so amusing - but they were all good fun. There's also a spin-off Wolfbrand series, only two books so far, which actually kind of interleaves with the later Firebrand books.

I really liked Lucy Parker's five London Celebrities books, even though I'm usually not much into contemporary romance. Now Parker has a new book out, Battle Royal - not sure if it will be the start of a series, or just a one-off. In any case, it's $10.99 in the US right now (boo!), but while looking for other things, I noticed it's only £3.99 in the UK, and has been at that price point for a while, even pre-publication. So if you live in or can visit the UK, you can save a bit (actually, a lot).
