Right now we're dealing with the remnants of hurricane Ida. The wind isn't too bad, but we've been getting heavy downpours since last night with occasional lightning. Our town police has (again!) warned people not to try to drive through flooded roads after several rescues of stranded motorists.

The biggest problem is that the weather system has been spawning tornadoes, mostly in the southern part of the state. They used to be very rare around here, but they're becoming more common, lately. This video is from the Burlington Bristol Bridge, that spans the Delaware river between New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Looking at the weather predictions for the first half of my vacation next week and I'm not happy; 22 - 25C. Which is a bit too warm for me. Mind you, those temperatures in the city center are different than those temperatures where I'm going (more rural and wooded area, our vacation park is on the edge of a big national park), but still.

Wednesday night we had "remnants" of Ida, very heavy, heavy rain and some wind with tornado warnings. I'm in Manhattan, NYC, and I don't think there were any tornadoes here. I watched some of the street views on youtube. There was a lot of lightning for at least 2 hours during the evening.

Very nice weather the day after on Thursday. Sunny, 70-75 degrees and not humid. This is the kind of weather I want all the time, but it's not going to happen every day.

Cool day after the 90s. It's 61 F and the light drizzle is almost stopped. Despite the rain, we are still in drought conditions (Minneapolis area).

Having watched a weather forecast half an hour ago,which promised an overcast but dry day, I am now watching the rain outside,as it soaks everything in sight!

Currently 14° and raining heavily. And once again, I have to wonder how Vancouverites who bloody well should be used to driving in the rain manage to forget so easily that slamming on your brakes is Not A Good Idea when there's water running over the road surface.

After a couple of days with temperatures between 25C and 29C today it'll cool down, only 21-23C. For this afternoon there's a yellow weather warning for heavy showers, hail and thunderstorms.
