Well, masks are starting to make a comeback here. Cases in the county jumped from less than 10 to almost 200 in a week!

So, more people are starting to mask at work, especially if a coworker has come down with COVID. My specific unit has had no cases and no one is masking. Most of us don't want to go back to masks either.

My county is expected to reinstate a mask mandate in the next few days. Fine with me. I'm vaccinated but still don't want to be that person who gets a breakthrough case and possibly spreads it to other people.

Are you already wearing a mask? They are still recommended but not mandatory here but I don't go outside without one. In theory, I have much less chance of getting infected than a unvaccinated person but I prefer to improve the odds.

I never stopped wearing a mask when going to stores or other public indoor places. It was apparent to me that after the CDC said vaccinated people didn't have to wear masks earlier this year, anti-vaxxers were going to stop wearing masks too because nobody is checking vaccine status. I figure wearing a mask myself provides at least some protection.

I never stopped wearing a mask, either. We have returned to our local restaurant maskless, but they offer outdoor dining and the weather has been pretty nice.

Well, today I did my own grocery shopping for.... I lost track of how long. Long enough to forget how annoying a sticking wheel on a shopping cart is, at least.

I was masked even though chances of getting anything were a bit low - I'm double-vaccinated, cases in N.S. are low (though not quite single-digit yet), and I think most of them are down in Halifax anyways. Also I went early in the morning to avoid the heat so I only saw two other customers.

Oh yes, I remember well my first trip to the grocery store after a year or so of InstaCart deliveries. It was surreal. I too remain masked and do early morning shopping with maybe 6 other customers in the store.

I still wear my mask when entering shops, but in our local supermarket last week, myself and a few other mask-wearers seemed to be in the minority!

Yeah, with 30,000 students descending back on the UNC campus, I have my mask all but glued to my face. Being an early riser (or a woken-by-cats person) has paid me massive dividends the last 18 months.

As a late riser, I really ought to try some 10pm shopping. Instead, I usually go around dinner time (for everybody else) and find that's not too bad.

I am fully vaxxed with Pfizer as of the end of July. I'll need to get a haircut and new glasses since I've put those off and we are going back to a combo of some in-person and some at-home work. I've never stopped wearing a mask indoors. It's probably 50/50 with/without masks or maybe 60/40 on a good day in places like grocery stores where I am, but that's only my on-the-fly impression.

I felt blah (nausea) with both doses for a day and a half and also dizziness/facial tingling that lasted an afternoon for both doses. Since I had shingles, my facial nerves have been a little temperamental, so I'm not entirely sure whether that was the vaccine or not. I'm fine now.

Grocery stores near me are encouraging everyone to wear masks. I'm fully vaccinated and will not be wearing a mask, unless I am in a medical setting, or if for some reason I am in a crowded location around strangers.

I've shopped in 2 different stores over the past few days, and was never near anyone closer than 4-6 feet. Some cashiers were masked in one store, I think employees have to mask again in Giant Eagle.

Schools are starting up around here, our three grandsons, 4th, 6th, 8th grades start back tomorrow, they go to a smallish private school, grades K-12, about 700 students. Mask use is up to the parents. The other 2 grandkids are homeschooled. There are decent private schools where they live, but our almost 8 year old granddaughter has a fairly severe egg allergy.

Masks are mandatory on public transport here. As I type this I am the only person on this bus who knows what "mandatory" means, apparently.

Yeah - same here - NC reinstated the indoors mask mandate but pushed the entire burden of enforcement upon the store owners.
