Yeah, I updated my old Glo HD to test the firmware (the Libra is my go-to reader now) and I thought I'd somehow managed to brick it even though I've been sideloading updates for years and years LOL

I'm pretty sure this is a one-off. Something in the underlying libraries has changed that caused this during the update. It was something that happened in the beta's and we were warned about. But, it didn't happen with the release candidate except for my Touch. There was probably some uncommon combination of circumstances that meant the screen wasn't updated cleanly.

Most of those patches have already been updated and tested (see my link to get them). The release is blocked on figuring out what to do with the font patches.

I forgot to mention the patch: Replace adobe page numbers toggle with invert screen. It also needs to be fixed (there will be no errors, it just doesn't work )

Thank you. I am on windows 10 pc and am trying this now. Running kobopatch.bat just flashes and doesn't do anything. To clarify I am using firmware 4.28.18220 and patches 4.28.17925. Maybe thats whats wrong.

At the moment, you can enable Invert Screen in the config:

and restart the device. Or in the developers settings.

Using kobopatch or NikelMenu, it does not turn on

Strictly it never did. The inverted screen was never supported. But, as I said, Dark mode can be used via a config file option. There is discussion about it in other threads.
