				Any Cleveland Library members?

I am in central Ohio and before making the trip to a Cleveland Library to get a membership I wanted to find a member to see how many epub books they have. I just wanted to see if it would be worth my 2 hour trip before going. I just downloaded my first book from a local library this weekend. It's not too bad but I would rather have epub downloads. I read romance novels and mysteries. If anyone has any info that could help me out I would love to hear from you.

I guess I should do my homework before posting for help! I just returned to the Cleveland Library site and I found a list of epub books.

And that's just since the beginning of the year, when they first started carrying ePub. So I think it's safe to say that CLEVNET is definitely supporting its ebooks venture.

			Hey FizzyWater,

I am in Marion County not far from Columbus. I have talked my husband into driving me to Fremont this Saturday. That is the closest Clevenet library to us. Its only about an hour away or so. I have downloaded books from the Marysville Library but they are the pdf format and I would really prefer to have the epub format. I guess thats what I am used to. I thought the Clevenet site had a nice variety of epub books already and hopefully there will be alot more added as time goes by. Happy Reading! |

Either that or just ask one of the family to give you the library card number. |

If you live any where in Ohio, the public libraries in Ohio are legally required to allow you to get a library card if they receive Ohio funding, so I've read. The trick is, most of them make you get - and renew - your library card in person.

So I have my own card, but I have to renew in person every two years. The person who signed me up - and renewed me last year - always asks me why I'd get a library card from her small-town library when I live in Columbus. I just tell her my mom lives there (which is true). It's easier than explaining I want the ebooks! I'm not sure if any other member of my family has even stepped foot in the library, let alone have a card. I couldn't find anyone in the family that had a library card to just use their card number. |
