August 2021 Nominations (Classics) The category for August 2021 is Classics. Everyone gets three nominations and three seconds. We'll end the nominations on July 29 and the voting will begin after that. So let the nominations begin. I'm starting early to give more time to decide what you want to read. In the Sword and Sorcery thread there was some talk about the swashbuckling genre and I wanted to try one. If Anyone cares to recommend a few, I will most likely nominate one.

The New Leaf club read a couple of swashbucklers, The Three Musketeers and The Scarlet Pimpernel, if you’d care to peruse the discussions. The Dumas discussion was, uh, lively.

Books for August do not have to just be about sword and sorcery.

Given that the genre for August is classics, I thought there would be a flock to nominate.
