I never got through readng all of the comments. I think that the changes to all of the avatars are rather cool. I also like the fact that they have been done to keep in style with the actual avatar. Unfortunately I think this has given the opposite effect than intended

The reactions to the "scarlet H" avatars in the "serious" poll are interesting. I would venture to guess that many (possibly most) people voting for the new forum are completely unaware of the precursors leading up to the poll.

sweetie, do whatever makes you happy. i think the people who might at first glance have thought you were "stirring up trouble" are realising there is more to the story than they might have thought, and understand that there's no "ill will" behind the h's. on the contrary, i see them as a remarkably healthy and good-humoured way of defusing the tension that had built up around this issue and i'm thrilled to see everybody taking it in stride and getting on with their lives.
