Uploaded books not shown in kindle library

I have uploaded books to kindle voyage through calibre. The books are not shown in kindle library even after restart of kindle. I have tried delete and upload of books 2-3 times. Could anyone please help how to resolve the issue ?

Were these books DRMed for that particular kindle? If they *had* DRM, and were just offloaded from another kindle (different DRM), they wouldn't have worked. You have to download from amazon for this particular kindle, so the DRM is right. If there is DRM.

Just a thought.

These are not DRM books. these are side loaded books.

Side loaded is unrelated to DRM. It's true that whispernet (3G or WiFi) direct to later kindles are KFX which ALWAYS has DRM and "Download to PC" from Amazon, then side loaded are AZW3 (=KF8) for later kindles, which have DRM depending on if the Publisher asked for it.

I'm guessing you only have "Books" checked in the filter. On my Kindles, side-loaded books often show up as "Docs."

I am not sure how to set "Docs" in kindle or calibre. If you know how to set, could you tell the steps to do ?

On your Kindle in Your Library view, check that All is selected. Now tap on Filter and you should see various options such as Books, Comics, Samples, Periodicals, Docs and Collections. If there is a number beside the name, that is the number of books in that group. You can tap on a option to enable it as a filter.

Thanks. The uploaded books does not show in any of the items like Books, Docs etc. I have copied the firmware update bin file to root directory. "Update Kindle" option is not enabled to upgrade to new firmware manually. Seems some issue with my kindle after connecting to calibre on new computer.

I sent the books to kindle through email as well. Those books are also not synced.

I have noticed that if an author uses a middle initial, and in some books there is a period after the initial, and not in others, only the ones without the period show up on the Kindle. Calibre shows that both are present on the Kindle, but only displays one. In my case it is the author where the middle initial has no period after it.
