So have to apologize. I was sure there was something. FFF has everything! I did check the forums and even googled it (ie:'Fanficfare PNG Conversion') but I didn't find anything relevant, and didn't even think of searching defaults.ini or my personal.ini... I'm an idiot and it was in there already in my personal.ini (along with a size limitation). It was set correctly.

After some testing to verify it wasn't working, I went through and looked carefully through the other options and identified the problem. I'd canceled it out with
[epub]
no_image_processing: true

...
yeah. Idiot.

I'm not sure why I had enabled that option, so I switched it to false, and also (to test) commented it out, and it seemed to be working in both cases. Well, as previously mentioned, I'm an idiot. I don't know how else to explain it. It's been a long time since I edited my defaults, I'm sure I put that in there for some reason but I have no idea now what it was.

Well, once setup the FF.net workaround is a little annoying.... but man some people can't seem to even TRY to think for themselves or do even a smidgen of research.

A simple search and there are dozens of entries regarding the error, or even just going back a few pages and doing a brief scan. I understand why it gets ignored altogether.

It's frustrating for me to even see people asking over and over again, like it hasn't been answered many times over, and I don't even answer them. The last couple I felt like being really snarky in a reply, but I kept calm and allowed the urge to dissipate (eventually).

I'm getting this error when I try to download from fanfiction.net:

Browser Cache Failed to Load with error 'Supposed cache entry file did not end with EOF header with correct magic number: '/Users/YOURUSER/Library/Caches/Google/Chrome/Default/Cache/f7948r9f9f8f9g9_1''

Anyway I can fix this? The downloads were working absolutely fine until today.

Hello,

I am trying to automatically remove the content of some standard columns when importing a fanfiction from archiveofourown.org. I might have missed it but I could not find a solution to clear all the fields:

• publisher: can clear it from personal.ini with

  add_to_replace_metadata:
   publisher=>.=>

• pubdate, languages, last_modified...: cannot clear them
• tags: cannot clear them BUT
• characters (part of the "tags" column): can clear them from personal.ini with

  add_to_replace_metadata:
   publisher=>.=>

When I was importing the fanfiction manually, I had set Calibre "Adding books" > "Adding actions" > "Rules to filter tags read from metadata" > "Remove the tag, if it is not one of: a". It used to work very well (as long as no one put "a" tag) but I cannot set it with the FanFicFare plugin.

I am also trying to keep the rating, words and ships only.

The value put into Calibre's Tags column is controlled by the include_subject_tags setting (for historical reasons). To get no Tags do:

Removing publisher works.

languages is hard coded to default to English if not otherwise set, so removing it like that results in English. (Calibre requires (or once did require) a language value? Unlike most Calibre standard columns, there's no 'Clear' button next to it in Calibre Edit Metadata dialog.)

Because they are datetime objects internally, not strings, datePublished, dateUpdated and dateCreated are not subject to metadata editing.

For most Calibre standard columns, you can use the 'New Only' flag on FFF's Standard Columns config tab to at least not update those columns.

FYI, I would strongly advise against trying to remove or change the identifier URL. FFF uses that as the unique ID.

Nope, there is only one literotica section
