WDE.
I speak Canadian English my words have lots of U's in them and my alphabet ends with "x, y, Zed." Oh ya, I'm on the West coast so we speak a lot slower than those over in Toronto.

US English. Specifically South-Western style.

But I am known to flavor my speech with a bit of Yiddish.

While "Zed" is predominately used in Canadian English, it just doesn't ryhme with "V".

Well, this is a tricky one. My native language is northern - midwestern American English.

Having live in the UK and Scotland for 16 years, I have been forced to learn many UK / Scottish words in order to be understood. I now hoover, buy courgettes, put my messages in the boot, and frequently have a blather in the playground with the other mums unless it is a cold dreich day when we stand in the bike shed. I haven't however lost my American accent (although friends and family in the US would disagree).

When I first moved here I experienced numerous embarrassing moments:

A much younger me to a Welsh rugby fan in a Scottish pub: 'I love your pants!' The Welshman, very helpfully, stood up and began to unzip in order to show me! Me:

After an evening out with a prospective boyfreind the young man says 'Right, I'll come round and knock you up about about 9 o'clock tomorrow'. 'You'll what!!'

I love English!

I know the tune Americans use to sing Alphabet, but it's not the one I learned, which doesn't rhyme. I can't give the tune, but here's the rhythm.

Non-English native speaker here...

Though, when I stayed in the US, nobody could figure out where my accent was from, which enforced my believe that most Americans can't differentiate between any foreign accents (or it must be French or Oriental) as my accent is very clear.

You're absolutely right. I, for one, can never tell the difference between a French Meow and an Oriental Meow.

I can't understand what either one are saying.

You know, we keep talking about establishing the Mobilita Republica. Maybe we should establish it in Australia. We could take over the Outback. Drink enough Matilda Bay Bitter and we'd be up to the task. The basic rule would be that no one is allowed beyond the Black Stump without an eBook reader (preferably a Blue Sony) in their hand. Or, we could make an exception if they were to shout us a round of Tooheys or two.
