Hello there,
I was trying to find English-Bulgarian and Bulgarian-English dictionaries for Kobo but I wasnt able to find any here or anywhere. And thats a deal breaker for some of my friends to not purchase a Kobo device so I tried to create them

I downloaded the dictionaries from here and used penelope to create en-bg and bg-en

Sadly I still dont have a Kobo device (ordered Libra which I am still waiting) so I cant test if these works, but I hope they work fine and it will help anyone who is looking for such dictionaries.

If you know english it is easier to solve your problem finding a x_language-English dictionary; or a ita-ita for example

thank you for your answer, I have its-ita ,de-de and fr-fr but the words take time to understand so loose time that's why I am still searching for de-ar , fr-ar , it-ar

To display the Arabic symphols of the alphabet, will probably need to use the 'Dictionary text font-family / font-size / line-height' patch (or change the Kobo system fonts) .

I've created a Japanese-English dictionary for Kobo:

dicthtml-ja-en.zip (38 MB)

This dictionary is generated from scratch from free dictionary sources, and can therefore be freely distributed. It's also complete with pitch accent information, and has an index that matches conjugated verbs and adjectives when selecting words, which I had trouble with when using other dictionaries.

As far as I know, this is a major improvement over previously published Japanese-English dictionaries for Kobo e-readers. I certainly searched hard before putting the time into making this.

I hope it's useful to other people!

(I'm also planning to release the source code for the tool I wrote to generate the dictionary, which has additional options for people that want something a little more custom (e.g. also including Japanese-Japanese definitions). But I want to clean it up and document it a bit first.)

I tired convert mdx to Kobo dictionary by pyglossary, but always showing error.

There are issue with font, as attachment images.

I think css file cause this issue. Can css file merge with dicthtml?

You need to replace the font using the 'Dictionary text font-family / font-size / line-height' patch. The font you are using does not have the necessary glyphs to reflect all the characters.
