I see now that I was trying to access the One Click service at Pima County library which was indeed RBDigital. I can't seem to find a correct way to access One Click in the absence of RBDigital. Maybe One Click is defunct?

OneClickdigital became RBDigital in 2017. RBDigital was bought by OverDrive and was shut down this month.

I noticed that it only happens when it is attempting to connect to Amazon.

That is an error message coming from Amazon. When it occurs the plugin will retry four times with a 30 second delay between attempts before giving up on that book. If the error is happening for all books it will take a very long time to complete.

I don't know the cause of this error. It is not happening for me.

I suggest trying again in case there was a temporary issue at Amazon. If the problem persists it may be something on your system is triggering it or perhaps Amazon has blacklisted your IP address for making an excessive number of requests.

I can see being blacklisted because of the excessive attempts. At one point I basically set my entire library to be "scanned" because I noticed a lot of books I got in the past (Either purchased and deleted or Kindle Unlimited) are not being sold anymore. I set the plugin to run while I went to bed that night. Came back and discovered that probably half of what I was expecting from Amazon was missing.

I don't have a vpn, wonder how I can get around this.

tested this out using my mobile phone as a hot spot and it ran through. Sooooo, yeah. my ip address.

Freading appears to have changed from library card to email address as a login ID. I created an account with my email and it still knew about all of my history, etc.

But the Overdrive plugin is having trouble. Here is the traceback

Thanks for letting me know, I will look into it and update the plugin to handle the new login scheme if possible.

Version 2.46.0 - 27 Sep 2021

Fix sign in to Freading libraries. When configuring a Freading library the card number and pin configuration fields are optional. If present these should contain the email address and password used when registering at your Freading site. (Prior to September 2021 the library card number and pin were used instead.)

Remove support for RBDigital. That service was shut down on May 20, 2021. Any left over links to RBDigital books can be removed by using the Check and repair book links menu choice.

The problem in accessing OverDrive libraries via this plugin is apparently caused by an expired Let's Encrypt certificate used by OverDrive. For some reason an associated expired intermediate certificate has been left behind causing problems with creating a secure connection via Python and therefore calibre under Windows 11.

I was able to resolve this problem on my system by doing the following:

• Click in the Windows search box in the task bar and enter certmgr.msc to open the certificate manager for the current user.
  
• In the left panel select Certificates under Intermediate Certification Authorities.
  
• In the right pane scroll down to R3. Double click to open it and note that the Valid from/to dates are both in the past.
  
• Click OK to close the dialog.
  
• Press DEL to delete the R3 entry.
  
• Select YES to confirm deletion.
  
• Close certmgr.
