The second one seems like a Taiwanese Kickstarter clone. The first amount is the money raised so far and the 2nd is the target amount. Wonder why it's on there?

It doesn't have page turn buttons like the Forma based off the video previously posted but the side ledge makes writing better is something I've found with my Note Air. Buttons would probably get in the way.

I’m guessing $449 USD. I think they’ll want to keep it under $500.

If they made it $399, it would only be $50 more than the Oasis with cellular.

I too am very glad they are trying something a little different, unlike amazon who seem stuck in a complacent rut. I would love to find an excuse to buy it.

I wondered why there were two currency amounts (neither of which seemed to fit). Wonder how they got the picture of the Elipsa?

I see that (about the buttons) now. I wasn't very observant. I'm guessing the Carta 1200 screen doesn't mean Mobius? It doesn't appear to have warm light either (but I guess this is would be the norm for a Note Taker / eReader). At least it looks like it will use ePubs (which I thought was a big drawback with the Sonys).

Definitely not something I would buy, but it looks interesting. I don't see any mention of audio books, so the Bluetooth might be for a keyboard?

For some reason I'm thinking something like $525 - $550. Maybe because it includes the case and stylus.

I think it may use the same screen as the Remarkable 2 and Note Air which is not Mobius either. Both of those also have the side chin thing because of the screen design and how the connections have to go. I bet it does audiobooks too it's just not a key feature.

I think this is gunning for the Remarkable 2 which is why I think it's going to be $400 for everything. The RM2 is $400 but you need to add $50 for the pen and it doesn't have a front light. Plus it's a horrid ePub reader and I can't see Kobo messing that up.

EDIT: Just to add the Boox Note Air is $480 with a front light, 32GB as well and a Stylus and probably has much faster processor and more RAM if previous Kobo's are an indication. I imagine Kobo has better volume deals to bring the price down. $500+ also looks really bad up against an iPad and Pencil.

I don't think the Forma would be discontinued because of this new device. They're targeting two different user profiles, it seems to me. The Libra and the Forma are basically the same device in different sizes, but since Amazon doesn't offer an 8-inch device, I'd expect the Libra to be axed if either were to go.

Already during the migration from 4.0.4 to 4.4.2 there were massive problems.
And they still haven't been able to integrate features like Refresh into the operating system.

And with Android, they would have to compete directly with Boox Note Air - a very difficult challenge.

I wonder if it’s waterproof? I like this feature in my Forma.
I would go for bigger Forma, stylus is not an advantage to me, however BT for headphones is.
