Frankly speaking I am very surprised and glad to realise that there are so many ladies on this "gadget" forum |

I'm a guy (last I checked), who reads SF, fantasy, mysteries, romances (although I stay away from the bodice-ripper-of-the-week variety), historical fiction, assorted non-fiction (economics, poly-sci, science books, biographies...), and more. And that's the pleasure reading! My wife reads most of the same stuff, but in slightly different proportions. She can't stand the economics, prefers poly-sci with a different slant than I do, and weights mysteries a bit more and SF/Fantasy a bit less then I. Yep, those stereotypes about who reads what work really well in my family. And I voted for the blue one next to the fish. Xenophon |

I am quite familiar with the trend. Many years ago. 1995...when I started to play the very first LPMud Genesis, some males would create female characters because they would get a lot of help with fighting experience, money, quest hints and easier joining to elite guilds from male veterans and champions....they would behave like females and flirt and use all sort of emotions such as hugs, tight hugs, hold close etc... | |

After reading a piece about shopping addictions, I am even more certain that I am both. Women love shopping: I hate it with a passion Women love to shop for shoes: I generally buy one pair every two years Women love to shop for clothes: I'll do that twice a year (once in spring, once in fall) and be done with it in about 30 minutes. Women hate watching for new PC's: I love to go to the computer store and drool over all those shiny gadgets... (the piece was about how men were always tortured if they had to follow their wives on their shopping spree, waiting at the fitting rooms, going from shop to shop to shop to finally go back to the first to buy the shoes there, and how women should give in to their shopping needs to, aka, going to a computer store to watch that pc even women hate to do that). Beside that, I was doing a study no women (ok we were 3, one dropped halfway and the other did the economy side of the study, which happen d to be Computer Science and Information Technology, while I did the technical side) did. |
