The only formats I use are CBZ and CBR. Though the PDF plug-in is easy enough to install.

OK I bought PV and it looks good. I misread the PDF plugin earlier as costing another $3 - that's why I asked about it. Since it's actually free I went ahead and got it too. So I should be all set.

(I also installed Firefox on my HD10 so I can now play poker on my HD10 and start getting some real use out of it).

CBZ and CBR formats work like a dream in Perfect Viewer, right from the start. The .pdf plug-in is free, and it works really well also.

In the Google Play store Perfect Viewer is free. But I've been using it to read digital comics since I bought my first Andoid tablet in early 2011. Since it is free, there are donation versions and I've bought several over the years.

The options can be daunting and confusing, but once you have everything set, it's a great program.

Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell's epic Jack the Ripper story From Hell is on sale for 12.50 at Amazon US or ComiXology. This is the Master Edition, which has been colorized. It's a giant of a comic at 582 pages with meticulous notes at the end where Moore goes occasionally panel by panel explaining the research he did.

If you are only familiar with From Hell via the Johnny Depp movie (which I did like), the graphic novel is a whole different and much better thing.

There's a Humble Bundle of Dungeons and Dragons comics. This includes the late '80's D&D comics from DC (well, most of them*), which makes me happy. I really liked their Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and Forgotten Realms series.

I also liked IDW's Dungeons and Dragons and Dark Sun series (you have to pay $25 to get all of those though).

Anyway, lots of good comics here if you like fantasy, wizards and monsters. Comics that aren't about superheroes. How novel.

*I wish they would republish Spelljammer and Gammarauders, but those were weird comics that never sold well.
