ISBN Updating

My DB "ISBN" file is corrupted and I would like to delete this data and then run the Extract ISBN Plugin to refresh the data. How do I delete the existing ISBN Data ? and should I? Am I correct saying that the "Identifiers" field shows all the publishers of a particular book and I should delete this field data as well before running the plugin?
Perhaps I should just go back to reading my books!

Unfortunately, I don't understand this part. You might want to run Library > Library Maintenance > Check library.

Here's how to do it with search & replace:

However, in Calibre 5.15 there will be an option to delete an identifier from the tag browser. It's already available when running from source.

You don't need to. Extract ISBN will overwrite existing ISBNs unless they match.

Nah, micromanagement of metadata is more fun.

All rebuilt , The library Mtce , check library came back as all ok however I used restore DB after reinstalling Calibre and bingo 80% odd ISBN Data was fixed, Then I ran the extract ISBN Plugin and it filled in most of the missing details. A small number is left 2% however they are from older authors so I can live with that. Now to add 2 columns To be read and Read. I suspect that the Calibre app was corrupted and reinstalling it helped. I didn't do a clean reinstall which worried me .

I would suggest using a single column with multiple fixed values instead of multiple columns for your To be read and Read values.
