Thanks for the effort, but I suspect it does not work because few books are with the characters you made the dictionary.
Now I use a dictionary created by the ALT-10 (2017) user on the basis of Dex and looks OK, all the characters are displayed correctly. I have to try it and see how the information displays.

I have recreated it for the glyphs with commas. I have attached them to this reply. Please download all the components, in order to make it work. Extract the files .001, .002, .003 from each attached file individually, then extract the dictionary file from the resulted .001 file when after you've downloaded and extracted all 3 in the same folder. (Maximum file limit is 20mb, and .001 type files are not accepted by the uploading file settings)

I would really enjoy any feedback given, for this.

To display the Arabic symphols of the alphabet, will probably need to use the 'Dictionary text font-family / font-size / line-height' patch (or change the Kobo system fonts) .

hello thanks plse plse i want to convertt these dictionaries,thei are in epub. i zipjp2, kindle, pdf if its easy for you . i am ignorant in informatic so i cant use penelope
plse i really need them becaus they are full

Sorry, they come in a format that does not allow the conversion.

If you know english it is easier to solve your problem finding a x_language-English dictionary; or a ita-ita for example

It's still sadder there ... Someone tried to convert these dictionaries using FineReader, which was not configured for Arabic. Of course, the result was a complete mess. And for some reason someone laid out this garbage (mobi and epub).

There need to convert and correct the text, which of course is very time-consuming and requires excellent knowledge of all these languages.

FineReader may fail pretty well both for the arabic language and the unusual page layout, even in the best lucky case, the stuff would need a massive revising.
Tesseract works better but the layout issue withstands

Dear forum members, can someone convert one of the following two dictionaries in a format compatible with Kobo:

bg-bg-pb.dic * from https://sites.google.com/view/bg-bg-...ary-pocketbook / - dictionary for Pocketbook,
bulgarian_dictionary.mobi * from https://github.com/yanosh-k/bulgarian_dictionary -dictionary for Kindle

I read a lot about how it's supposed to be done with Python and Penelope, but I did not get it.

It is a "Bulgairan to Bulgarian dictionary" (providing definitions of the words).

I am looking for a latin-english (or latin-swedish) dictionary. The one linked in the first post of this thread does not seem to be working very well for me.

I am reading 'In the Name of the Rose' by Umberto Eco (a book which has a lot of latin phrases in it), but the dictionary has so far only worked with one single word. I am therefor looking for a new latin to english/swedish dictionary that works a bit better, or a link to one that I can convert to a format that works with the Kobo.

I am not sure why this dictionary isn't working very well for me. Maybe it's not able to interpret the different conjugations, but I am not sure. The other dictionaries I have installed have no problems figuring out which word I am looking up no matter the conjugation of it.

I'd appreciate any help I can get that points me in the right direction.
