FARKING WIRELESS NETWORK!
![]() But at least my daughter's computer is now running Linux, and is on the network. Which makes her happy, because she can play web games and email her friends, and makes me happy (happier) because I don't have to disinfect her computer twice a month. I think I'm going to need to do the same to my university-provided laptop Monday. I'll need to maintain the ability to dual-boot, though, so I can test the website on IE. ![]() One of our cats came from a pet store, but it was a store that (at the time) would take litters of kittens from folks who hadn't planned on having kittens (oops) and I think they were charging $20 or something like that, which basically covered the medical care they'd given and some food. This was 17 years ago. They probably don't exist any more. Our other kitties have all been from shelters, strays, bulletin boards, etc. I've only had one dog. He was given to my family by another family as a "Christmas present" when I was about six, and I'm not sure where they got him, but he was hardly a purebred. (Some kind of Golden Retriever mix, possibly a bit of Collie.) Probably they knew someone who had some puppies they needed to find homes for. My dad used to buy ice cream from the Mennonites while he was in the Peace Corps in Belize. I've never had much to do with the Amish. I'm pretty disappointed about their attitudes toward animals, I must say. |

Well, on another thread Ricky did say she thought she found a repair person within a reasonable visiting distance. Let's hope so.
And oh, the group hug thing? I don't know. With ALL of us here, we'd probably squeeze her too hard, and either suffocate her (to which we'd never hear the end) or damage some other part of her that thus far still works (to which we'd never hear the end.) Did I just repeat myself? In any case, we'd never hear the end of it were we to injure her further and I, for one, couldn't handle the guilt. ![]() |

If somebody on this forum has Nissan Pathfinder it will be nice to check if this information is true
![]() If you are considering a Nissan Pathfinder or any other car with an 'independent front suspension', this little commercial should prove to be helpful in making your purchasing decision. An 'independent front suspension' system, is when one front wheel of a vehicle hits a bump or pothole, it will move up or down to compensate while the other wheel remains steady. Both wheels are independent of each other, and hence the expression. Watch the attached video, a German commercial for the Nissan Pathfinder, to find out exactly how this works. This gives a moving experience which should benefit your understanding of this piece of engineering. It's arguably the best explanation I've ever seen. (The Germans obviously have better ads than we do) |

My husband suggested she replace it with an LG and get back to us on performance. I wonder if that means my hands are going to get a break someday?? |

Constellation of dust spots
Just noticed the dreaded dust spots on my PRS700 while reading last night with the lights off and sidelights on.
