I would like to add isfdb.org for consideration as well. As most of my books fall into this category.

That has been brought up before and I did look at it. Personally, I didn't see the point. While it is probably fairly complete for SF books, the actual metadata is missing things like a synopsis. There was also something about it that just made me not want to go near it.

I have about seven or eight sites I have Calibre check for metadata. Frequently only on two or three have any metadata for the title and perhaps only one has a synopsis. Just as frequently none has a synopsis or sometimes no metadata at all. I then check with ISFDB and it nearly always has some metadata.

If there is something about the site you do not like and you do not wish to write a plugin, then that is your prerogative and I have no problem with that.

I however feel it would be a good addition to the metadata plugins and would certainly make great use of it.

Since you participated in that thread, have you tried the ISFDB plugin from the metadata source, isfdb.com thread? See message #7 for the packaged plugin.

I would like an editor calibre plugin that give possibility of convert .svgimages (vector images - .svg) to "normal format" images, like .jpeg or .png, cutting space of converting ebooks to.azw3 or .kfx formats.

Database Reporting

Hi,

Is there a plugin to produce reports of what is in a Calibre library? I did search for one, but might not have recognized it as a reporting tool from the descriptions.

Is there a plugin that allows a history of the books that have been transferred to someones device? Something like when you select a book, it says who has downloaded/transferred it before and when?

I just re grabbed a book that I read a couple of years ago. It was Meh then, and had not improved. Is there any way to keep a tally or log in Calibre that auto-populates when a book is grabbed is what I am looking for.

You should be able to do what you want using the Reading List plugin. It would read the list of eBooks on the device and populate a custom column.

CC let's you update date read, or you just have to manually change the read status and date read on Calibre.

Wish we had something that will do that automatically with kindles. I know pw4 keeps a file that updates it when you read a book etc, but guess nobody can use that file to make a plugin for calibre.

Amazon keeps the database on the Kindle locked up nice and tight. That's why Kindles are meh with Calibre.
