They stopped doing that a few weeks ago.

My Sweetie just got her second shot. We stopped at Mickey D's on the way home. She was a bit worried about possible side effects so I said if she went into convulsions or anything could I have her hamburger?

My 2nd shot will be Tuesday.

Today is the first day I am allowed to get vaccinated, but I won't be doing that for a while. Not because I'm anti-vax -- when I see my GP next week I will get a flu shot. If I could get my covid shots from him I'd have no hesitancy. Our states are only allowed to vaccinate their critical workforces. Most of us must be vaccinated at one of the GP practices on which our federal government is showering taxpayer largesse. One can't help wondering if political donations aren't playing a part - a jab-berwocky rort

The current situation with covid in NSW is: There are are no active community acquired cases; and the 2 locally and 50+ overseas acquired cases are in supervised quarantine. In other words there is no clear and present danger.

I'd rather they send my shots to somewhere they're needed - like Papua New Guinea - the outbreak there is a clear and present danger to some of our indigenous communities.

The only restriction that irritates me is the ban on overseas travel, but that won't change for months; and for the places I would visit, maybe not until next year.

If only our 'authorities' could manage fires and floods half as well they've managed the SARS-Cov2 pandemic

I just got my 2nd shot a couple of hours ago. My arm is already starting to get a little sore. It did that with the 1st shot too, started hurting within a few hours and got worse the next day, but it wasn’t too painful. My 70 year old sister got her 2nd shot earlier this week and said her arm hurt worse with the 2nd shot, but she didn’t have any other side-effects.

I can't change my poll answer, but I got my first Pfizer shot today, the first day of 1b eligibility here in Western Australia. There's no requirement to only go to a GP here; the state-run clinics are taking all 1b eligibles. It was a very quick and efficient process - excellently run.

Quick update on side-effects:

Monday, the day after the 2nd shot, was a bit rough. I had upper body aches that were fairly bad, but since I’ve got arthritis it might have contributed to the severity of the aches. I briefly (for a few hours) had a slight fever of about 99.4° F. I was very tired all day, and had a very minor headache on and off. For a couple of hours I had a very slight breathing issue and felt a bit of dizziness whenever I stood up, but it didn't get dangerously bad by any means. Basically I felt like I had a minor case of the flu but without congestion. Tuesday, today, I feel fine. I would rather feel like I did yesterday rather than have a common cold or the flu, both of which would be much worse. None of those choices are good, but all in all yesterday was not horrible. It was more annoying than anything.

IMO, the side-effects were totally worth it to get the boost in immunity to COVID-19. From what I’ve read and heard, a lot of people taking the Pfizer vaccine have had similar side-effects after their 2nd shot. My primary care physician's office told me that having these kind of side-effects is a good sign that my body is reacting to the vaccine and building up antibodies to create an immunity to COVID-19. My sister, a retired nurse, told me the same thing. So if you have minor side-effects, it is probably a good sign that the vaccine is doing its job!

Nova Scotia now has dates for when to expect the vaccine. I remain skeptical.

It's been 24 hours since I had my second Pfizer shot and I've had no side effects except for a very mild soreness in my arm which I don't notice or think about unless I'm actively looking for symptoms.
