Joffe Books sent me an email indicating that No Place to Hide by Dan Latus, which is the first in the Jake Ord series, is free now through March 14 at Kindle US and UK. I've read and enjoyed some other titles by Joffe Books authors, but haven't read anything by Latus. I have read all (I think) of his Jim McGill titles, most of his John Tall Wolf books, all of his Ron Ketchum books, and a few of his non-series books. I've liked all that I've read, except for a couple of the non-series books.

The fifth in the best-selling Guido Guerrieri series.

When Judge Larocca is accused of corruption, Guerrieri goes against his better instincts and takes the case. Helped by Annapaola Doria, a motorbike-riding bisexual private detective who keeps a baseball bat on hand for sticky situations, he investigates the alleged links to the mafia. Of course Guerrieri cannot stop himself from falling for Annapaola's exotic charms.

THREE KICKASS FEMALE DETECTIVES
WALK INTO ONE SPELLBINDING BOOK...

Talba Wallis—a twenty-something computer wiz who also happens to be a poet and all-around free spirit—snatches up the opportunity, almost over Eddie’s dead body. This mismatched dynamic duo quickly gets on the case of a twisted, sociopath with a ton of recording industry clout.

He should be no match for tech-savvy Talba and street-wise Eddie—if they can only leave their baggage at the door. A very fun read for those who like banter and sarcasm, yet with all the good will in the world.
