New menu item: Download Web Series, Indexes, LCCN, ISBN, PermaLinks, Tags, Publisher, PubDate [Selected Single Real Author], which partially replaces the deprecated use of Fictiondb.com for downloading WSSVD, but then adds much more metadata retrieval functionality that did not previously exist. A future release will replace any remaining functionality loss caused by the deprecation noted above.

See the attached image and job logs for further details and examples.

The primary purpose of this is to add new WSSVD to Q&S. Extra metadata is a "gift", and totally secondary to the primary purpose.

The new ability to create "empty books" with full metadata for a single author's books NOT currently in Q&S is a bonus as well.

Remember that the Q&S Library, which must begin with the phrase "QuarantineAndScrub_", is not a "real", "pristine" Calibre Library. After scrubbing all of a book's metadata, that book must be moved to a "real" Library, leaving behind all of the "work metadata" that is specific to Q&S.

This new job is very gentle in its use of the new Web Source for WSSVD. It waits a full 5 seconds before each and every server request, no matter how minor or trivial, in order to not abuse the privilege of accessing the metadata. So, it is not a fast job at all. Be patient.

Whereas Fictiondb.com was curated specifically for Fiction, the new Web Source is 100% generic.

Also, several menu selections have had their item names improved to clarify their use and dependencies, if any.

Remember to always run the "After Version Upgrade" job on the menu after upgrading to any new release or version of Q&S.

Post 1 of MR of each plugin thread has the latest release.
Also Preferences Get Plugins will pull any plugin with a thread here.
(OTOH) Betas will be inline until released)

Attached is a book and the error message I get when trying to scrub book level data. I have many books and select 100 or so at a time and I get this error on books every so often. The books come from news groups so that is why I use Q&S to clean up the data. Is there something I can do before doing this that might help or some way to ignore the error?

Remember to always run the "After Version Upgrade" job near the top of the menu after upgrading to any new version of Q&S.

See the attached example job log for the "After Version Upgrade" job. Yours should be almost identical except for the specific Calibre Library path being maintained. This job (on the Q&S Menu) must be run for each individual Calibre Q&S Library that you have.

Does this extension use the same API that the "Library Codes" plugin uses to derive LCC and DDC codes? The Library Codes plugin has stopped working. Wondering if Q&S would be an alternative, or if it's broken here too.

Hello. I'm getting the following error when running the "copy Pristine author/series tables to Q&S" job:
