ePub fails to convert

I am trying to remove the DRM from some Kindle books .

I have done this many times in the past with no problem.
Now I have just downloaded Calibre's most recent version 5.
The De DRM plugin is installed and everything seems to run fine until the very last step, when I have to enter the Kindle Book serial number( BO8R447F3P_ebok).
It clearly has 15 digits, like all the rest, but I get an error message saying that it must have 16 digits. I tried three times. Same story. Can you help me please?

BO8R447F3P_ebok is not the serial number of an e-ink Kindle device.

You should ask for assistance with DRM removal that either Apprentice Alf's Blog or Apprentice Harper's GitHub. Detailed instructions are not allowed on MobileRead.

That BO8R447F3P_ebok sequence is the Kindle book ID found in the My Kindle folder after downloading the book from the Cloud into the Kindle app.
It is odd, though, because all the Kindle books from which I removed the DRM with Calibre in the past had a similar number starting with B........_ebok and the DRM removal was successful..

Also I don't know what you mean by e-book Kindle device .
I don't have a Kindle e-book tablet as such, to read them, because I use my PC with either Calibre or FoxReader.


I'll ask Apprentice Alf'or Apprentice Harper for more details, but I'd appreciate it if you could clarify the more general points I raised here.
