Page numbers would be a Custom Column as it is not a Calibre standard.

2 ways to do it (If you did not Delete it) 1) right-click any column TITLE: Show Column: <choose from list> 2)Preferences: Add your own columns: <put a tick in the right place. Use the green arrowheads to re-order as desired> |

Not unless you forced embedded the metadata into all the books.

Polish, Modify EPUB or embed. Backup before you make big changes. Do NOT try and restore just the DB from a backup if you have made any other changes, includig: adding more books. You will create (DB) orphans

The column might not be gone. You could have hidden it by mistake.

Found a time consuming fix by thinking through data. i will use calibre to find opf files for authors I know I've read - do searcch to group them, open file on book, pick opf because metadata lists missing column, say ignore all, ok, and 4 clicks and there is the missing column! thanks, your hint on hidden column put my mind working.

@catsm: By "page numbers", do you the number of pages in the book? And if so, how did you populate them?

If it is the page count, then the Page Count plugin can calculate from the books. Or it can download the counts from a couple of different places. It will take time, but, it might be the only way. |

The MDE can get metadata (from book) and update what is there.

The downside is IF you did not update the book, some or all the metadata may replace otherwise GOOD (Library) metadata. |
