Browser Option
I love the browser option. Now that CC is just about done it's my preferred way of reading books in my Calibre library. The one thing I just can't figure out though is how to find a) the book I am reading when I return to it and how do I make sure that my latest place in the book is retained. Just can't figures those things out. Is there a location to easily find current books being read? Any help would be much appreciated.

The home page of the content server shows the lsat three most recently read books. And clicking ont hem will automatically resume from where you were reading. You can also just bookmark when you stop reading and go directly to the bookmark to resume.

No. There's nothing related to the Content Server - unless the whole browser display is from the CS connection. Anyway, I'm not seeing anything like the last three most recently read books. The browser UI (in my case Firefox) does not seen to provide access to the UI you mentioned in your post, Kovid. I've checked every option and tried both 192.168.1.122:8080 and 127.0.0.1:8080. Must admit I'm stumped. Any thoughts Kovid?
Many thanks, Dave |

I'm running Calibre 64bit server v12.5.0 on Windows 10 (latest build).
I'm also accessing the server from iOS v14.4. On neither the windows version of the browser UI or on iOS amd I seeing anything like what Kovid describes. If there a Help option somewhere that displays the browser UI? I see all the expected options on the web page versions except for currently reading books. Calibre Companion copies books to iBooks on iPad and defaults to that book next time you open iBooks but it's problematic saving with the web version. IIRC, the web version of Calibre saves books to a default folder that I can't identify and so can't point iBooks or other reader at.iBooks is near the end of the save options and books do not always get saved. I love the design but I think that the UI is almost there, just not quite yet. Your help's much appreciated. |

When I open the Content Server in Firefox, I see the last three books I've been reading displayed. See the attached image. Note that this is not sticky across a browser restart.

OK, working now. I have the books I'm reading and my place in them is being kept. Now, one final question; is there a way to alter the font size without zooming in and out i.e. like you get in book readers?
Thanks for your help, much appreciated. |

Did you right click the viewer (in the browser) with a book showing? The menu is almost identical to the Calibre viewer

That worked, thank you. I was searching the menus in the display and never thought to actually click near the top of the page in the browser. Right-click in Windows but click near the top of the page with iOS (and Android I assume). Many thanks.
