PDF/KOReader and gDrive Sync (after updates?)

Just a quick one or two this time

IF you add KOReader, and do the gDrive Sync mod, if you allow Kobo updates, will the mod and app go away? or do they remain after update?

I'd like to read a number of PDF chess books on either the Libra or Forma.
I tested how a PDF book looks just viewing it on my PC monitor.
Every time you turned the page, it would reposition off-center of the screen and have to manually pull it back to get the page in view. Then carefully scroll down the page with it moving a little side to side. Next page same thing, reposition towards one side, pull it back out, carefully scroll down.

Thats a little much for a 3-400 page book.

How is the NATIVE PDF Experience for a long book on the Libra or Forma?
And does KOReader correct this? I mean, will it let the PDF book page text properly fill the screen and scroll naturally, then when turning the page "retain" this text to full screen setting?

IIRC, the sync thing should stay. I think KOReader and Plato are much better than the native PDF experience.
