ragged right margins with epubs?

I have a Kindle and have downloaded a ton of public domain epub books and convert them to the Kindle azw3 format before loading them on the Kindle. When I convert to azw3 I've specified a ragged right margin and the Kindle displays them with ragged right even though they imply (or state) that you only get ragged right with their newer kfx format.

Can the Boox (Note Pro let's say) override the formatting of the epub and display ragged right? Or will I have to go through my epubs and find the ones that have text-align: justified and change it to left?

Moon+ should override the css and show ragged right or justified, your choice.

I'd like to know how to do this too. Tried other reader apps but they're not good on the eink. Neoreader is fine but I can't get it to ragged right.

Did you find a solution?

Have you tried Alreader X and Koreader? They are the reading apps that work best on e-ink in my experience. Koreader is designed for e-ink and Alreader X is the default reading app on Onyx devices in the Russian market. I read everything justified, so I don't know if you can force rugged right on them, but you could try them out.

Load the KF8 (AZW3) eBook in the editor and remove any line in CSS that reads...

Code:
text-align: justify;
and
Code:
Text-align: left;
That will then allow you to change the alignment if it's not defaulting to right.

After dumping all of the text-align justify and left, try adding

Code:
text-align:left;
to the body css class.

That won't work. It ignores the css for text-align. I tried everything.

Sounds to me like Neoreader is not yet ready for release. This is why I prefer Linux based Readers as they come with better reading software.

But you are fixated on the few (installed) options, while in the Android area there are a large number of reading and library applications.
No Linux-based device offers the possibilities that I have with Calibre Companion and the AlReader, or Onleihe and Pocketbook app.

Android doesn't know about 16 levels of gray displays; it assumes that all displays have at least 256 colors. Same with the android apps. So as a result, for me the android experience on the boox was *very* dissatisfying.

Then just use applications in which you can assign the colors to different gray values - what's the problem?
Apart from that, the covers / pictures are also colorful and have to be displayed in grayscale on Linux devices - that also works.
