Sending to device

I am using Calibre & I know that there is a setting for sending only epub to device & saving only epub to disc but for the life of me I cannot remember how to set it up.

Can someone please remind me how to do this?
I have used all of my grey matter(what little bit is left) up trying to remember how to do it.
Thanks in advance

For save to disk its the Preferences->Save to Disk->File formats to save: setting.

When you have a device plugged in**, I think it's in one of the options of the Send to Device tool that should be in the toolbar. Why - because you might want to send different formats to different devices, e.g. AZW3 to a Kindle, KEPUB to a Kobo, and EPUB to your Samsung phone.

** - I don't have enough grey matter left to cope with the complexities of plugging in devices.

The device driver configuration has a list of supported formats. You can add or remove formats from this list. If you try to send a book that doesn't have a supported format, calibre can convert the book.

And if you just want this as a one-off, there is an option to send a specific format to the device.
