16GB SD card recognized as 4GB
I put a 16GB MicroSD card in my Kobo Mini, which had originally had a 4GB SD card. 4GB have been used and now the eReader refuses to recognize the remaining 12GB, stating that "my eReader is full." Is there something I should have done beforehand?

Did you resize the partition on the device?

Did you format the new microSD card? I believe it has to be formatted as FAT32 for Kobo to recognize it.
I don't have any experience with Kobo devices with SD cards, so someone else will have to correct me. |

Did you extend the FAT32 partition before installing the uSD card?
What does the Device Information page show for storage? Last edited by DNSB; 02-12-2021 at 12:46 PM. |

Does the Mini accepts better than Fat16?

yep, the onboard partition is formatted in FAT32 IIRC
@Elektron: do it when you can, it would be very helpful. I think you were on a Chromebook seeing the screenshots, can you access a Linux shell while the SD is in? (CTRL+ALT+T in Chrome and then type "shell". You should be able to run df -h there...) |

@Elektron: Read all of the post that @PeterT quoted and, most importantly, follow the link it includes.
