Waiting for the snowstorm. The last one fizzled out before it reached us, but the current forecast is for snow to start Sunday evening and continue through Tuesday morning (or early afternoon).

I've made the run to the grocery store this evening.

Today was Part 2 of yesterday's snow storm. Yesterday I measured the snow depth in a couple of places in the driveway where it was level and protected from drifts. The depths ranged from 20 to 25 inches. My son got a path shoveled up the hill to the street, and we had maybe 2 more inches by the time the snow stopped.

The snow plows came through at 3AM. We live at the end of a long dead end and we tend to be the lowest priority for plowing. In the past the snowplows would pile up snow in front of the mailboxes. Someone must have complained because this year the mailboxes are pretty clear. Instead, this time, they piled up the snow around our cars. It's higher than the car and compressed into ice. At this point I've barely made a dent in it.

It was a beautiful late winter day, today. The high temperature was about 42° F, the sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

A nice day to continue trying to dig out the cars. (We're about halfway done.)

Today it's about 10C, warmer than normal. From tomorrow temperatures will drop from Sunday we're going to get a couple of days with temperatures below freezing (it'll feel like -10 to -20C). Tomorrow evening it'll start snowing, on Sunday the current prediction is 18cm.

I'm going to my sister tonight for a movie/game weekend. I had planned to return Sunday, but if the weather prediction proves true my father will probably pick my up on Monday morning. Tonight I'll have to sweat, since I'll have to wear my thick winter coat; if it has snowed/is snowing on Sunday we plan to go outside.

Lots of wet today, but the current temp is 49° F. Took some of the house plants on a road trip to the front porch for a half hour. I think they enjoyed it.
