My new Kindle 8th gen it's weird!!

I already had other Kindles and this one I received from a friend of mine who said he found it in the trash, he had a demo mode sticker, so I came to the forum to solve this problem, but mine is different from the others, besides being in another one language (with the help of the google translator i found that it is in brazilian portuguese) it is on a strange screen, apparently it is explaining some kindle functions, i already tried restarting holding the power button for 40 seconds up to 5 minutes and it came to nothing, as the forum has already helped me to solve problems of my other kindles resolve to get together to share my problem that I don't find a solution.

AFAIK, demo versions are a hassle to unlock. Only way to try is serial port firmware replacement, but its success varies from model to model. Look for something like this, but for your exact model -- otherwise you will brick Kindle.

Apparently my model is a KT3, in some research I found out in which points I should weld but it seems that this job is not for me (I don't have a soldering iron and I never used one ) is there another method of connecting the wires?

Others have attached the wires in various ways, including pins through a sponge of some sort. Some have even managed to tape them in place. You don't need a permanant connection, just one long enough to get the job done.

Do keep in mind you need the proper serial adapter, as you can burn out circuitry at too high a voltage. See one of the serial jailbreak threads. I believe there is even one specific to the KT3.

Yes, try looking in serial port jailbreak threads here, about PW3 and PW4. Basically, you can attach a dense sponge over the contacts and use needles/pins to have contacts. There are also other creative methods I think.

Actually you should be using 1.8v, as per this thread:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=267541

I believe some have managed to do it with 3v, but the board is not designed for it and you risk damaging it.

Keep in mind that some of these serial adapter boards can be jumpered to use a supplied voltage source. That allows you to get the 1.8v from another wire to the Kindle.
