Well, I've seen a lot of surgeries and autopsies ... and really, the fact that it's actually "you" under the knife (except if was an autopsy, I suppose) isn't much of a much. I've had them bring me out of anesthesia before so I could watch. Sort of like watching a science special on the TV while on some really good drugs.

By the time they were out with the patients, they were damn good ... old pros.

Might be .... might be. I do believe in reincarnation ... so I can see my disembodied spirit watching my autopsy with great interest.

Thanks ... re the get well wish. I ate some solid food earlier tonight (about 9:30 or so .... two hours ago maybe) and it appears to be staying down. I am getting a bit of intestinal cramping, but it's not too bad.

Going to take my meds and try to get some sleep or maybe read for a bit. Reading "Lords and Ladies" by Pratchett.

I'm not quite up to watching the needle when they're drawing blood, but that's sort of because of this weird thing I have about things in my skin. (I have a true horror of ticks.)

On the other hand, I asked them to prop a mirror once when I was having a root canal, so I could see. (Ever since I discovered that zylocaine or whatever they use these days actually works if you ask for enough of it, I've been fine with dental work, and I find it quite interesting, actually.)
