Riddle of the Sands is a fabulous book, although its author met a most unfortunate end. Thoroughly recommended (the book, that is, not the author).

As my 13-year-old daughter would say--in a sort of musical way--"o-pin-ion". It's cute. Maybe you have to be there

Yeah, YGG, I'm with you. It's a great book--and if you like it, there's a lot more to read. I mean, a lot more.

I think it is still up my... goodness look at the time.

So, letting others control your reading, interesting idea.

Of course you need more - there's only 1001 books on that list, and you're a fast reader - you'll be done in no time

(Once you've read Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, try Long Dark Teatime of The Soul, also by Douglas Adams. And the Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy trilogy (in 5 parts...) if you haven't already)

Isn't that what we let publishers etc do already?

(I'm joking, I'm joking - call off the lynch mob!)

Darling, of course I've read all of the Hitchhiker's Guide books. I'll probably read Long Dark Teatime, as I'm sure I'll love it.

I've done some math on how long it'll take me to read these...and it's scary. Even if I read 5 a month, it'll still take me 16 or so years.

Well I'm still in control, as I've already decided that I want to read all of these very much

You'll still be alive in 16 or so years, so you'll still need stuff to read after (And I thought you were trying to read 10 a month? )

Was I? Yikes, that was a bad idea. As it is since December I've only read two a month. I gotta really kick myself in the butt for this.

I think someone got that one off site. It wasn't in the MR icon library.
