Sending my cousin a Birthday Card, (via email owing to lockdown and no shops available!) She is 70 today,and after me, is the second eldest of our fifteen 'grandchildren'. My Mother was the eldest of five sisters, so there are lots of us!

Right now I'm writing this list as I prepare to go to Wong (a grocery store) to buy these things:

crackers (unsalted)
cookies (chocolate chip - is there any other kind?)
bread (pastry)
spam
ice cream (chocolate - is there any other kind?)
fingernail clippers
toenail clippers (industrial strength)
coke (the carbonated one)
perhaps a football (international)
suntan lotion

When I finish 'Submit Reply', I will cease to do this specific action 'Right Now'.

I'm waiting in anticipation of my new watch arriving. I've just ordered it on Amazon. I've had my eye on it for a while, but a post-Christmas sale finally made me order it.

(It's got solar power, 6-band radio time signal, titanium case, sapphire cover, clear numbers on the dial and is only 9mm thick. It's also £180 at the moment, but that's a lot better than the £210-£230 it averages, and a lot better than the RRP of £255.)

I am trying to find vintage copies of purple magazine. I just saw one on sale for $250!, Other than reading books, my other hobby is hunting for vintage magazine scans. I personally think the hunt is most of the fun.

Unhappily, I’m on the train from Boston to Philadelphia. It’s quite nervous-making traveling during a pandemic, but it couldn’t be helped. I’m wearing an NK95 mask under a paper one. At least the train is sparsely passengered, but I suspect it’ll be more crowded after New York.

It's good to hear you're taking precautions. The wife and I are in the process of trying to get the vaccine. Supplies are short and hard to find. Have a safe trip.

I double mask every time I go to court (which is on average twice a week), so I feel you. My office is currently experiencing an outbreak, so that's been fun.

Thanks both. The worst part of the trip was the last leg, on a Philly commuter train. A lot of people and what’s with the nose-outers? I wasn’t happy.

The vaccine can’t come soon enough for me, but as you say, there aren’t many in the pipeline. I heard that in New Hampshire, for the current 1-b qualifiers, they will be vaccinating through April.

Waiting for the iOS update to install on my iPad and iPod. Meanwhile looking at where I can buy cinnamon stick and star anise in bulk. I'm really into orange/cinnamon/star anise tea at the moment and the packages of the two spice sold at the supermarket are small.

I'm also contemplating getting an iPhone. My phone is okay, although soon several government and insurance apps won't be supported anymore, but I get annoyed that my iPad and Android phone work differently. I'm trying to decide between the iPhone 11 and the SE. The SE is good enough for me, but I like the bigger screen and better camera of the 11.

There's a good chance your train went through our town. You should have waved as you went by!



Right now I'm at my Dad's place. He just got back from a short hospital stay and I'm just going to make sure his night is uneventful.
