Version 3.4.3 has just been uploaded which fixes the translations issue. Not caught in testing because apparently it's a Windows-only issue. I don't know if I should be grumbling about Python or Windows.

3.4.3 is not showing up in Calibre.

@Claude_C: calibre looks for updated plugins once an hour at half past the hour. You probably missed by a couple of minutes.

Thanks a lot Joel. The extension updated without error with version 3.4.3.

Windows only, French only... Not an easy one to find I guess !

Older versions are on the Github page. Specifically, https://github.com/jgoguen/calibre-kobo-driver/releases. But, I do not see 3.1.4 there. You would need to pull the code from Github for the commits up to that release.

And to check what you are doing, is this to get a version that is compatible with calibre 3.x? If so, someone running that might have it. And, some of the later versions were still compatible with this.

Edit: Just reread the question. I didn't take in the "since". Github is the definitive place, but, not all released versions are there. They could be constructed from the commits, but, why? From memory of the problems last year, there are not many you would want to use.

They could still be using Windows 7, of which the last supported version is 3.48. (Yes, I know, you're now going to use "but Windows 10 upgrade is free," but that's not much help for those who have older hardware that can barely run it.)

Calibre 4.23 might run under Windows 7. So there is nothing to lose by trying it. If it doesn't work, then going back the Calibre 3.48 is rather easy.

Someone broke it since, and I though it would be useful to figure what patch it was before deciding fixing it is beyond me.

The change is probably https://github.com/jgoguen/calibre-k...35de123bad325f. Which was checked in on 16/06/2020. That looks like it was in 3.2.9. There were some fixes afterwards, but this one was missed.

I have just created a pull request that should fix it. There is one thing in the change that I am not sure of, but, would need a purchased kepub with really bad internal formatting to check it. We would need to see what Kobo does in similar circumstances to the above when building the kepub.

That means there is a problem with the book. The extended driver has to open the book to make the changes and uses calibre libraries to do this. One of them has found a problem with the Adobe font obfuscation key. You will need to fix that somehow for the extended driver to be able to send the book. Off the top of my head, I don't know how to do that.

I don't know how that error will affect other ways of handling the book. I would be interested to know if the device can open the epub version of the book.
