				Kindle for PC Problem
			 
			
			I usually download Amazon books to my Kindle for PC, version 1.17.44183. Today I wanted to download a couple of freebie titles I purchased the other day, but Kindle for PC won't open, after repeated tries--I just get the little spinning circle, and then nothing. Except not really nothing, because when I tried to shut down and restart, Task Manager told me Kindle for PC was running. I did shut down and restart anyway. After restart, I tried to uninstall--I can't, because again the PC thinks Kindle for PC is running, asks me if I want to close it, I click yes, and it asks me again. I tried to reinstall, and get an error message. Any ideas of what might be going on and how to fix it? Thanks. |

			If you have a lot of eBooks downloaded, KindleForPC can be really slow to start. I have 1507 eBooks in my KindleForPC eBook directory and yes, it is really slow to start. |

			Problem solved. Though Task Manager wasn't showing Kindle for PC as a running application, it did show multiple times under processes. So I got rid of all the multiples, reinstalled Kindle for PC anyway, and was able to open the program with only the normal excruciating slowness.
