Not likely. I try not to drink on days that I have court. It sets a bad mental precedent and mental association with the already horrific work that I do.

Tomorrow, however, is a day of committee meetings and will certainly end in either beer or some of the new bottle of Chemist South Slope Gin I picked up this weekend.

Not everyone can do the work, but I am proud to do it. I do domestic violence court on behalf of victims once a week and am on a rotation of housing court preventing unlawful evictions.

As you can imagine, there is not much shelf life in the work as many burn out on it.

I most certainly had gin for dinner last night. But I stuck with it until 4 am to see the election formally called. Which, of course, means that I have an IV of coffee today. Domestic violence court does not stop for coup attempts.
