Now £1.99 at Kindle UK. This is now cheap enough to be worth it even if you only need one or two of the titles...

Titles are:
  • The Saint-Fiacre Affair, apa Maigret and the Countess, apa Maigret on Home Ground
  • The Misty Harbour, apa Maigret and the Death of a Harbor Master
  • Maigret, apa Maigret Returns
  • The Judge's House, apa Maigret in Exile

Maigret titles have different names in different countries or have been republished with different names at different times.

Titles in the omnibus are listed in the blurb, and keeping the "different title" thing in mind, it's nice that they tell you a bit about each one.

An omnibus of the first three Berlin Noir books by Philip Kerr is on sale for $1.99/£0.99 in the US/UK respectively. This series features Bernie Gunther as a German PI in Nazi Germany (and later), and several of the books in the series have been nominated for various awards. (And, I've liked them too, and so did some one(s) else upthread.) The three titles in the omnibus are: March Violets, The Pale Criminal, and A German Requiem.

Kindle US: https://smile.amazon.com/Berlin-Noir...dp/B006LFO1DA/
Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/gb/en/ebook/berlin-noir
Kindle UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076H6BKNZ/

Spoiler:
Quote:
Berlin Noir: the first three thrillers in the internationally acclaimed and bestselling Bernie Gunther series. Ex-policeman Bernie Gunther thought he'd seen everything on the streets of 1930s Berlin. But then the Nazis came to power, and Bernie realised the most dangerous criminals were the ones in charge.

'The greatest anti-hero ever written' - Lee Child

MARCH VIOLETS
Hired by a wealthy industrialist to investigate the murder of his daughter and her husband, Bernie finds himself drawn into the lethal internal politics of the Nazi party. When Hermann Goering himself calls Bernie in with a task for him that throws his existing case into a whole new light, he must weigh up his hatred of the Nazis against his desire to live.

THE PALE CRIMINAL
Five German schoolgirls are missing. Four have been found dead, victims of horrific ritual murders. Bernie Gunther is reluctant to investigate, but when Reynhard Heydrich gives you an order, you obey it if you want to stay alive. What Bernie discovers is far worse than a lone madman: an occult conspiracy at the very heart of the Nazi Party.

A GERMAN REQUIEM
Postwar Vienna was supposed to be somewhere quiet for Bernie to lie low. Then he is asked to clear an old Kripo colleague's name of murder. This man belonged to a secret society of Nazi hunters, and before he knows it Bernie is face to face with men who have been presumed dead for years. They got away with their crimes once. Bernie will see it doesn't happen again.

I haven't noticed Patriot Games on sale for a couple of years, and here it is at $1.99 again at Kindle and Kobo US. Links below are still good.

Much like Louise Penny's most recent Inspector Gamache title, which went on sale in the US for $4.99, after having briefly been on sale in the UK much earlier for £0.99, James Lee Burke's most recent Dave Robicheaux title, A Private Cathedral, is now on sale in the US for $4.99, after having been on sale in the UK for £0.99. And I even predicted it - woo-hoo for me . This seems to happen a lot - moral of the story - pay attention and grab the UK sales if you can...

Anyway, here are links for the $4.99 US version, which is part of today's Kindle Daily Deal, matched at Kobo US.

Open Road titles don't usually go on sale at decent prices in the UK, but here is Tuesday the Rabbi Saw Red, by Harry Kemelman, on sale for £1.99 at Kindle UK. It's the fifth title in Kemelman's Rabbi Small series. I really like this whole series, and so do a few other folks upthread.

Kindle UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZJZH57M
Kindle UK/Smile: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZJZH57M

Spoiler:
Quote:
Once again, Rabbi Small finds himself looking for solace outside the confines of the contentious world of his synagogue in Barnard’s Crossing, Massachusetts. When a member of his congregation expresses that she does not want him to officiate her wedding, Rabbi Small has had enough. He seeks escape by dabbling in academia with a part-time teaching gig at a local college. But his fantasy of a tranquil life in an ivory tower is about to come tumbling down.

A bombing at the school kills one of the rabbi’s coworkers, and Small finds himself caught between adversarial students and feuding faculty members. As he investigates possible suspects with the same logic and measured caution that make him a brilliant religious leader, Rabbi Small finds that everyone has a motive—and an alibi—and it’s up to him to uncover the truth.

Trouble Is What I Do is the sixth and most recent (2020) in the Leonid McGill series by Walter Mosley, who is perhaps (much) better known for his Easy Rawlins series. It has dropped to $3.99 at Kindle US as part of the Daily Deal, matched at Kobo US.

Spoiler:
Quote:
Morally ambiguous P.I. Leonid McGill is back -- and investigating crimes against society's most downtrodden -- in this installment of the beloved detective series from an Edgar Award-winning and bestselling crime novelist.

Leonid McGill's spent a lifetime building up his reputation in the New York investigative scene. His seemingly infallible instinct and inside knowledge of the crime world make him the ideal man to help when Phillip Worry comes knocking.

Phillip "Catfish" Worry is a 92-year-old Mississippi bluesman who needs Leonid's help with a simple task: deliver a letter revealing the black lineage of a wealthy heiress and her corrupt father. Unsurprisingly, the opportunity to do a simple favor while shocking the prevailing elite is too much for Leonid to resist.

But when a famed and feared assassin puts a hit on Catfish, Leonid has no choice but to confront the ghost of his own felonious past. Working to protect his client and his own family, Leonid must reach the heiress on the eve of her wedding before her powerful father kills those who hold their family's secret.

Joined by a team of young and tough aspiring investigators, Leonid must gain the trust of wary socialites, outsmart vengeful thugs, and, above all, serve the truth -- no matter the cost.
