I don't know what might have happened, but I'd try making a new list and deleting the old one. (In that order only to make it easier to copy the settings. Then I'd try renaming the new list to be the same as old list.)
If all else fails, in RL config under the Other tab there's a button for 'View Library Preferences'. That has an option to completely nuke RL settings for that library. |

I'm still tinkering with trying to optimise the big moves, but have been distracted with Real Life(tm). I'm not fussed either way if you want to include in the next version or defer until I can (hopefully) speed up that case.

I would love to have a menu item "Add to new list". For instance, the Power Search plugin returns a list of books containing the search criteria and it would be great to be able to quickly save them as a new reading list.

My mistake--snarkophilus' changes aren't in the trunk or test version yet.

Manually adjusted Series numbers?
Finally got around to organizing and expanding my ebook library, and one of my express goals is to better manage reading with reading priority list. This plugin has been a huge benefit - I now have multiple reading lists (Classics, SciFi, History, Science, Philosophy, etc) set up so I can feel like I'm organized in my reading!
I do have one question...it appears that the "Reading Order Options" relies on a series column, with auto-input number based on sequence of adding to the specific list. Can I change those sequence numbers by a manual edit? Or does that through the whole auto-numbering off? TIA - I had started reading through this thread, but realized there were 69 pages of messages to go through! Ed |

If you are using RL to keep your list, you should use the Edit List feature to change the order, even if you are also using the 'Store in Series Column' feature. RL only writes it's order to a series columns, it doesn't read from it.

Help with List View - Not in Alphabetical Order?
Hello!
Re: Latest release of RL When I choose "View List" all my lists are in some strange order - they used to be in alphabetical order. This is very hard to navigate now - this was not the case in the previous version! Please help! Love the plug-in! Ron Quote:

By default, RL orders the books to match the list order (usually the order they were added to the list) on view. There's now a checkbox towards the bottom of each list config to turn off ordering and keep your current view order. Note that it is set per list. Worst case, you can re-order your list to be alphabetical order; although the easiest way to do that I know is to use a temporary list. Edit List doesn't sort columns. |

2020-11-15 - RL: Sort View List submenu, unsorted by b680e6bb5e0342be04a2e4764f03ee18083ab20d Ah. Oops. Sorry, I assumed @ron_harvey was talking about entries in lists. But you're right, the View Menu entries aren't ordered now. I didn't notice that. The top-level-menu-view feature changes from kiwidude use set()s to do some set math and that destroys the order. But it's easy to sort them again. My hero-worship is crushed to know even kiwidude can have bugs. ![]() Last edited by JimmXinu; 11-18-2020 at 10:43 AM. Reason: Remove obsolete test version |

Has anyone heard from/about Kiwidude recently? He was a real asset to the forums and I hope he will return at some point in the future.
