That's how I bought my Alita. The invoice doesn't mention VAT. My preference would have been to buy from say Amazon where a return and refund would be straightforward. Everything went smoothly with AliExpress who I'd never used before. Had I known how much of a pain the Alita would be to use and the disappointing note taking function I'd not have bought one at all.

What disappointing note-taking feature?
What is missing or poorly executed?
The only thing missing in comparison to Boox devices are fixed models for line, circle, rectangle and triangle.
The keyboard has a scribble button, which Boox lacks.

For anyone who has similar problems...

I had problems with downloading from my local network Calibre Library directly to my Tachiyomi folders on a SD in Alita but I finally found a browser that allows to change download folder to any custom folder you want on a SD or Internal memory and also asks you every time if you want to change it. It's Opera lol.

Had problems with Firefox and Chrome. Chrome didn't detect SD card or asked me for location even if I turned that option on (bug?) and with Firefox they disabled about:config in newer versions so you cannot change anything. Really disappointed with Mozilla and Google about this.

The first Alita had a defect in the power button, I reported it, got an address where I should send it, sent a scan of the mailing confirmation by email, and a new device was immediately dispatched and the postage fee was immediately transferred to my account.

I was without a device for about a week

Well, now Boox Note 2 is being sold in Amazon for 480€ and Alita in AliExpress for 400€. I'm hesitant, because Onyx has a more powerful processor and I don't mind it hasn't SD card.

But Note Air screen's substrate is glass and so much more fragile. I have already broken an antique Onyx M92 screen and it was painful because I barely had used it.

Aside, I don't understand why in that store Note 2 is more expensive than Note 3, it's suspecting...

I prefer the color of a glass module over a Mobius. I don't like the slightly greenish - I know it from Likebook Alita and from Tolino Epos 2.
Apart from that, the breaking strength depends very much on the assembly and the underlying layer, which seems to me to be very stable with the Note Air.
But I would be careful not to drop it - but also Alita and Tolino Epos 2

I'm not sure why ottischwenk thinks being better than a Boox makes Boyue a good buy unless he is affiliated to them in some way. These Android stable devices are an overpriced geek's dream. I've been happy with the Alita using it as a standard e-reader but several times over the last week mine has gone to a black screen - battery at 70%. Restarting it put it right but this is not a great sign. I doubt a faster processor matters with these devices. Without A2 mode the Alita is pretty slow which I'd guess is down to the screen technology and OS.

Very simple: Likebook devices are far superior to Boox devices in the area of data storage handling and I need a lot of space - my Alita has 160 GB of storage space, a size that Boox devices cannot keep up with.What Boox can do better has been reduced a lot with Android 8.1 - only split screen and some predefined shapes remain when drawing. That's why I bought Boox Note Air.

The accusation is just ridiculous, all you have to do is know what you need.

For reading I use reading devices such as the Tolino Epos 2, it weighs 195 g and I can hold it comfortably in my hand. On this device I have opened the Android below and I can read with my favorite app.

The OS is innocent of this - it's exclusively the screen technology that I made a conscious decision to use.
But you just make yourself ridiculous if you grumble about a device and a brand / manufacturer, if you bought it without knowing why and because you are not able to do what you originally intended.

Surprising. I thought glass in Note Air was in screen's substrate, not in a layer over the flexible one.

So, now these devices are as "strong" as LCD tablets?

A Mobius module cannot be used in this design.
Mobius has the connection on the narrow side.
Note Air needs it on the long side.
A new module therefore had to be developed.

I have purchased last week a Boyue Alita ereader. The device itself is great, applying the screen protector without bubble and dust was a big challenge but I made it.

After reading this forum I came up with a 128 Gb micro sd as an external storage (don't want to be stucked if anything happens to the device).

Now concerning the pdf annotation, this is a disaster : here is my workflow
- I use a nextcloud account with my pdfs on it.
- So when I want to dl a pdf on my Alita Boyue storage (external SD) I simply sync what is needed through the nextcloud app.

The problem is that Inside the nextcloud app when I try to open the pdf, boyue pdf app is not displayed among all apps suggested to open it (what a shame).

To bypass that I have to browse the File Manager app, and browse into multiple folders to find the correct pdf. Sometimes, I did not see the synced pdf from nextcloud in File Manager, so I need to reset the device to make it appeared (no indexation menu is included in the app).

Once the pdf synced from nextcloud appears in File Manager, I can click on it and now boyue app is suggested : So we can begin to work with the pdf (not very productive)

The annotation with the sylus is very good, I cannot complain, but there is a catch with the export of the annotations : Once you are done with the pdf, you can export it through the notes section of the library (to local, mail, drive and so on). I prefer to do it locally on my SD card. Once it is done the pdf generated by the exportation, has annotations but they are all shifted which is very annoying. Headers in the document are also in chinese (english is set as default is my device).

Does someone has a good (working) workflow to save pdf annotation and export it correctly ?

Maybe I should try to contact them and report them all of this.
