Newb Kindle Jailbreak failed/forced upgrade
Hello, I just made a profile to ask a question. I had an older kindle basic model, gen 3 i believe ( KT3 according to the G000 K9 serial)
I downloaded mmcblk0p1-3.0.2 under K3 on https://pastebin.com/Wdw4L7yT and placed it in my root directory. Updating wasn't an option so i figured id have to connect to wifi. I was worried Overlord amazon would force upgrade my device so i tried putting the folder named "update.bin.tmp.partial" without quotes, with no contents in the root directory via PC. And then connected to wifi and it started updating to 5.13.3 from 5.12.1 rather then any jailbreak. Just in case i tried the branch jailbreak anyway which didnt react naturally. So I'm trying to figure out where i went wrong here :\ I didn't nearly have this much trouble with a kobo ereader in the past, but then they're not amazon I guess. |

"update.bin.tmp.partial" blocker folder stopped working on FW 5.11.x.

Maybe the latest KUAL helper extension can help
Just in case I have both .temp and OTA blocked ... Sometimes after update JB fails therefore I keep beforehand my bridge Installed in advance and If KUAL FAILS I try emergency.sh |
