Some story from fiction.live can't be download, I got the 'unhashable type: 'dict'' error. The URL is correct like Example URLs but no matter how many time I tried, it just give me the same error.

Currently, when I have "Mark added/updated books when finished," it marks all the books checked for updates even if there's no changes (I have the error column enabled, but "save all errors" unchecked).
Is there any way to make it only mark the books when there's a Good update? Last edited by ownedbycats; 10-08-2020 at 05:23 PM. |

Hover your mouse over the option in FFF's config and it will tell you:

It appears to be a problem with this link [https://fiction.live/stories/Star-Wa...f7RxJnoa/home]
It gives ['<=' not supported between instances of 'int' and 'str'] error. |

Out of curiosity: I noticed on the 'published' and 'last updated' datetime column (when hovering over them with cursor), FFNet fics have exact timestamps while AO3 is always 12:00:00 AM. Does AO3 not have full timestamps?

Correct. ffnet embeds an exact time in the HTML while AO3 only has the date.

I looked in default.ini but I wasn't sure what to look for: for the title pages of AO3 fics, is there a way to preserve the order of the extra tags under "Genre"? They seem to get sorted into alphabetical order.

FFF sorts most list metadata entries by default. You can ask it not to with the setting keep_in_order_entryname:true Changing entryname as appropriate, of course.
In AO3, genre includes freeformtags and ao3categories, so I expect you'd need three keep_in_order_ settings, one for each of them plus genre: Code:
[archiveofourown.org] keep_in_order_freeformtags:true keep_in_order_ao3categories:true keep_in_order_genre:true |

I have two AO3 series (not anthologized) with the same title. I'd like to insert the author's name in parentheses at the ends of these two so they don't get mixed together when searching.
Since I don't have series checked as "new only," any manual editing to that column would get overwritten whenever the fics update/I run 'update all' to fix series numbering. If I used replace_metadata matching the title, it'd change both of them. Is there a way for replace_metadata to differentiate them with the series URL or another way to do this? EDIT: It might also be possible to differentiate them with the authors. I'll see if I can figure out the syntax. Last edited by ownedbycats; 10-13-2020 at 06:07 PM. |
