KFX and negative margins?

So I had a problem whenever I converted from EPUB to KFX in that all of my ebooks have:

html {
margin-right: -30px;
margin-left: -30px;
}

...added in their stylesheets, so that I can achieve negative margins and extend the reading area on screen.

Whenever I convert from EPUB to KFX all of my headings become left aligned *unless* I remove the above code, or tick the 'ignore margins CSS' option in the conversion window.

Is there any way to get negative margins in KFX? Or is this limited to EPUB/AZW3. I should mention that whenever I convert to AZW3 the negative margins are kept perfectly with no left alignment of headings.

Thanks.

I'm not even sure using negative margins to try and override DEVICE defaults, is a best practice.

Personally, I prefer to avoid negative margins. But then my ereaders of choice will go pretty much to the left/right edges of the display with those margins set to zero.

As to your use of "calm down, grandmas"? You really might want to read those guidelines.

I suppose you ought to do the same then eh?

2. Staying on Topic

Read those guidelines guys come on now.

As I said, delete the thread if it's in the wrong section, otherwise reply only if you have an answer related to the topic. As I also said, and as others on this very forum have said/know, negative margins are fine, work fine, don't do any harm to the device etc etc.

Anyway, I've used negative margins on KF8 and for one KFX and I did not notice any issue with the KFX.

Code:
html {
  margin-right: -45px;
  margin-left: -45px;
}
That's for a 300dpi Kindle.

I'll give it another try and double check the results.

Also, what version Kindle Previewer are you using? Is it the current version (3.46)?

Current version.

I fixed the issue. I can now use KFX books with all the typesetting *and* have negative margins. Seems I'm the first person ever to think of doing this and my solution works perfectly.

I fixed it without any of your help. I now have fully functional KFX files with negative margins.
