As expected I did get a prescription for antacids from the doctor. I also have to get my blood drawn, I already made an appointment to have that done tomorrow.

In two weeks he's going to call me and discuss the results of the blood test and ask if the antacids have helped.

Some idiot's trying to sell a Kindle Keyboard 3g for $1319.90 on eBay...
That was regularly sold for $189 years ago and is for most people inferior to the current $89 basic kindle.
And if you must have WWAN, there's a $249 PW3 with LTE,
Or if you must, go for the top-of-the-line Kindle Oasis with LTE for $349.

I guess there's a sucker born every miinute.

I mean, the only way I can see a KK being for you is if you annotate the eff out of your books.

EDIT: For just about everyone else, the frontlight is more valuable than the keyboard.

I see items on eBay all the time that are priced extremely high. Hopefully anyone shopping for that item won't pay a crazy high amount, but it is their money.

I've spend too much on a couple of antique items that I had as a child. It was my money to spend.

I do get annoyed at the "Buy It Now" high prices of some old glassware made by Heisey. Much of it is rare and old, but a lot of it is priced too high. It used to bring amazing prices, but isn't so popular right now.

Selling grossly overpriced items is a relatively easy way to launder money. ;-) You see the same thing on Amazon these days--a used book for $1500 or even $500 and the like. At one point in time, people naively thought it was someone looking to take advantage of that one bozo buyer, but I strongly suspect that the Laundry is the point.

Based on the anti-money laundering training I have to sit through every year, I'd think such overpriced individual items sales would be red flags to anyone investigating money laundering. Not saying it couldn't be that, but I tend to suspect it's the result of fringe cases of some auto-pricing algorithm, particularly with the overpriced books on Amazon.

By the way, I love my KK.

I used to have one, it was fine, but over $1300? Get a basic kindle and have a massive amount of money left.

Oh yeah, the price is ludicrous, but if you were going to say anything against the KK itself, them's fighting words.....

In other vent and rant news, my whole family and I tested positive for COVID-19, so I guess it wasn't just allergies, or a cold my son brought home from work. And the towel bar came off the bathroom wall. Rough week.

You don't understand what KK users like about it. It's not a question of keyboard vs frontlight. And neither is it a question of what's better for "most" people. It's not like Amazon is taking a survey on whether to replace the basic kindle with the KK next year. It's a niche within a niche.
