Search field no longer there
Previously there was a second toolbar/menubar that had an option to search for an author, title, etc. How do I get it back? I installed 4.23 on a Windows computer.

Where is the Search bar?
There is nowhere to search for author, book title, etc. See screenshot of my listing of books.

Look at the third pic that gbm posted. Check the box that the pointer is pointing to in the Preferences>>Look & Feel window.

And after you verify that the box is checked, click on the magnifying glass button at the bottom right of the screen to hide & show the search bar.

To Hide and show the Search bar press Shift+Alt+F

FWIW: it is missing from the Keyboard shortcuts doco.
