Mind you: connecting from Chile, said URL wasn't available yesterday, and the posts I did find on this fora were rather dated: hence this posting.

I tried the procedure and worked perfectly.

Mind you, if you have a huge library such as myself (several thousand e-books) I recommend a CC full backup and to fully charge your device before the procedure: I tried this on a multi-core device (Boyue Likebook Mars on Android 8.1) and it took CC several hours to update it's database.

Also: after the CC database update the first wireless sync to Calibre will take a similar amount of time, as the metadata of every e-book in your reader will be updated.

For good measure, make a CC full backup after said first sync.

Then again, if you "merely" carry a few e-books at one time on your device, the whole procedure (CC database update and post Calibre sync) will be a thing of an hour or so.

Be advised, though: whatever the case, this is is not an instantaneous change.
