Thank you! It worked like a charm. There is a bit at the beginning of each section where it lists the stories and two lines or so each before it has the full stories, but I figured out that they are links and I can just click on the first one and jump down to the part with the stories. Thank you so much, this will be perfect to read on the subway.

I can't seem to get instapaer to work for me, it always ends up with blank pages, so I'm afraid soeone else is going to have to develop that recipe.

I do not think it is possible to develop a really working recipe for instapaper for several reasons:
1. RSS feed is different for every user (of course this can be remedied by scanning index page but it is not nice work) 2. You can link just about anything, any site. How will you write a recipe that will process multitudes of different web page layouts? That i just not possible. |

I thought instapaper extracted text from the linked websites?

Hi all,
I am absolutely new to this, just got my PRS-505 today and I thought it would be great to ready my newspaper on this device. I installed calibre but honestly this all sounds like quantum physics to me....so I would like to as someone here to help me out please. I have a valid subscription to this site: http://epaper.derstandarddigital.at/ Is it possible to have this content fully converted (can pictures be included?) into epub so I can read it on my PRS-505? Any help more than appreciated! |

However a feed would be possible from standard web edition of this newspaper (http://derstandard.at/) If you want to try something yourself start with RSS feed page: http://derstandard.at/?id=1850853 and manual for adding newsfeeds: http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net/user_manual/news.html |

Great, thanks, the web edition of standard.at would be fine too. I´ll have a look at it to see if I manage to do this myself...somehow.
I wish there was a service like pressdisplay.com for the Sony Reader Thanks! |

Ok, I gave up on derstandard.at but instead would like to get the RSS Feeds from "Die Presse" working.
I started with this one: http://diepresse.com/rss/home Everything is working more or less fine (apart from the terrible formatting, but this should be rather easy to do from what I saw on the calibre manual), but one thing: The links listed there link to the main pages of the articles. I was able to strip unwanted stuff (like menus etc.) but for some reason I was not able to include the articles picture? Some pictures do show up in the final file, but the article´s main picture will not show up, any idea why? I would greatly appreciate some help... thanks a lot. |
