How do I downgrade NM?

Is there a way to draw the NM menu somewhat larger? Now, with the last firmware, it is quite tiny. Thank you!

Just a thought: I use the Telnet and FTP menu actions of NM. Instead of having multi-line commands in the config script, I would have an .adds/nm-scripts (or even .adds/nm/scripts) folder with separate *.sh scripts to be run by each such action. This would keep the NM config file cleaner. Is there a reason for this to be a bad idea?

You can do that and add menu items for those scripts. The disadvantage is that you won't get access to the nickel-specific actions.

If you want, you could implement loading scripts from a directory by writing a custom generator (see src/generator_c.c).

I asked something similar half-way through this GitHub thread because the button's 'NickelMenu' label was in the way of my MiniClock display.

In a nutshell, there isn't a current user option but you can hack libnm.so manually before installing if you have a hex editor. See the next-to-last post in that link.

I think I've decided I'm probably going to add a new config entry type, `experimental:<option>:<value>`, to allow things like this to be set. These options will not have any compatibility guarantees between firmware and NM versions.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that.

But the quick & dirty hack is good enough for me until something better turns up.

I'll use the option if you create it for sure but, for now, to use HexEdit is quite easier than having to install a docker and compile it

You really should dump KSM. It is unreliable and could cease you to have to factory reset. KFMon is what you want.
