Margaret Mitchell's classic Pulitzer Prize-winning Gone with the Wind is a UK Kindle Daily Deal today at £0.99. Keep in mind, however, that in much of the world, except, of course, the US (sigh!), this is now out of copyright, both in life plus 50 and life plus 70 countries. A lot of the old classics are free on Amazon. They are branded AmazonClassics Edition.

But there is something strange... some are free, but I reload and then it's not the same edition anymore but Dover Thrift Edition and now costs. So make sure you know what you click buy on.

Maybe someone with better amazon-skills can make a link to all free books? I tried...

A lot of those old classics are free all over the place, not just Amazon. You can try Project Gutenberg, Standard eBooks and so on. Not really worth linking to.
