Hi David - thanks for your help.

That worked a treat - on Kindle for Mac.

But when I open the epub on Apple Books (on Mac) the fonts are lost.

JSWolf kindly provided a sample (above) which opens in Apple Books just fine. I compared it with mine and the only difference is that his uses OTF fonts and mine uses TTF.

So he has this in the manifest:

Code:
<item href="Fonts/Future_TimeSplitters.otf" id="font1" media-type="application/vnd.ms-opentype"/>
and I have:

Code:
<item id="Galindo-Regular" href="fonts/Galindo-Regular.ttf" media-type="application/font/ttf"/>
AFAIK they should both work. They both work in Kindle, but my version does not work in Apple Books.

I'm really puzzled!

Hmmm... I just about started typing an answer here but realized that your message was a double post.

BTW, double posting is considered a no-no on Mobileread and is liable to draw unwanted attention from the green meanies (aka moderators).

Thanks for the tip!
Although I might be able to get away with it, as one was about fonts in general and one was about Apple Books in particular. So maybe I won't be sent to bed without any support.
Thanks and take care.
